Chapter 12- Cry of the Hunters

Perspective: Piggy's Ghost

The lack of order on this island has become overwhelming. It is so evil the things they do and are planning on doing. They are sharpening their sticks with the intent of hunting Ralph. I feel very bad for Ralph and I wish i was there. He has no one to help him, no one on his side because the twins were forced to join Ralph's tribe. He has to hide from the evil hunters in a thicket. I know that it must be uncomfortable in their but at least he looks safe. He is hidden deep in the thicket next to a big boulder so that if anyone does get to him he can have he first hit.

I'm not so sure about the twins though it was hard to tell them apart since im used to calling them samneric. When Ralph was talking only one was nice i think it was Sam he even gave Ralph some meat. But the other one was not so nice he even told Jack and Rodger where Ralph was hiding. But i kinda feel sorry for them since that meanie Jack forced them to join by poking Sam with a spear. Jack isn't the only meanie in the camp though. Now Rodger has been acting evil even moreso than Jack. He sharpened stick on both ends and i think  know what he's gonna do with it.

Well when they found out were Ralph was hiding Jack set fire to the thicket forcing Ralph out. Ralph ran from place to place and it was so sickening that all i could do was watch knowing that at any second they could catch him and bring to an end. But at the last second the best thing happened. The fire that they had set to the thicket had spread throughout the island setting it all on fire. A submarine had seen the smoke and came to get them. As Ralph was running away he met the Naval Officer inside from inside the submarine. The others boys gather around as well Jack and the hunters with their spears and faces painted. Percival tries to talk to the Officer but he can't remember his name. Ralph told him about what happened on the island and he told him he was cheif of the island in a way taking resposibilty for all the things that have happened. I was surprised though that when Ralph said this Jack didn't object. Instead everyone started to cry. It made them look bad and my eyes and i guess the Naval Officer agreed because he said that he expected more from them since they we're "brits." That's all for now I'm glad to see that they are safe.
