Question 6. Explain how the author creates suspense in this book.

       The author used details to build suspense in his stories. There are certain things that he described in a way that made you more scared than you normally would be. For example I know that if I was writing about a tunnel I would say it was dark long and lonely. The author used more explanation to bring out the dangers. He used an active imagination to bring out that the tunnels could collapse at any moment. He also used the characters observance to bring out that it was easy to get lost at any point. There are many other examples in the story where the author of my book used detail to make me on the edge of my seat about something I normally wouldn’t be.
